Pleasantview House is a relaxing retreat from the everyday routine. It is a completely renovated pre-fab Gunnison home, fully furnished, three-bedroom, two-bath guest home, available for both short term and medium-term rentals. Being just a short walk to and from Asbury University and Asbury Theological Seminary, its accommodations are ideal for special events in the area, or for visits with family or friends. The house has a fascinating history. Not only is it a post-WWII Gunnison home, but it also is the former residence of WWII bombardier and POW camp survivor, Jacob DeShazer, and his family. DeShazer attended Asbury Theological Seminary and famously went on to be a missionary in Japan after receiving the call during his uncertain days as a prisoner of war. During your stay, access to a fully-equipped kitchen, washer, and dryer, wireless internet, and gas grill will make your time at Pleasantview almost like home.
