Wilmore Railside Museum

Wilmore Railside Museum

Tour a Southern Railway bayside caboose number X365! Inside the 1950s-era exhibit is an extensive collection of local artifacts, photos, and more. Learn about the early settlers who made their homes in the Wilmore-High Bridge area in the late 1700s, and about the development of the railroad, which made more extensive travel and commerce possible for everyone. Listen in on the dispatch scanner as the train crews communicate with each other and watch the trains up-close as they cruise by at 50mph to experience the role locomotives have in our lives today. That’s a big 10-4! Museum Hours: every Saturday 10 AM to Noon, May through October; Motorcoaches can be accommodated. Call City Hall to set up a time to visit for your group: 859-858-4411 or email railside.museum@wilmore.org. For more information, visit the Wilmore Events Calendar.
