The Palisades Farm on the Asbury University campus (also home to the Asbury Equine program) has two miles of trails, open to both students and the public, that wind through the Kentucky River gorge. One path follows a pioneer wagon road down to the river landing. Bends, bluffs, and natural beauty surround you whether on foot or launch your watercraft to paddle downstream. The Palisades also provide a home to some rare species of animals and vegetation that can only be found here. Make note of the features marked along the trail that have historic, geologic and environmental significance and explore the space! Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.[et_social_share]
